Direct flights are offered from three airline companies to Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Dinard, Paris, Exeter, London Stansted, London Gatwick, Manchester and Southampton. For instance a typical direct jet flight from London Gatwick will take a mere 40 minutes.
Ferry services run to and from Poole, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Cherbourg, Carteret, Granville and St Malo. Condor ferries operate a revolutionary wave piercing vessel which would take approximately 2hr 30mins to travel to Poole in Dorset.
