27.03.2020 WHAT IS THE LATEST NEWS REGARDING COVID-19 AND LIVINGROOM?

Friday, 27 March 2020

Whilst nobody has a crystal ball, it is safe to say that the CI property markets will see reverberations from the global crisis. Over the coming days, our CEO will help guide us by sharing the latest knowledge and advice about Livingroom and the islands’ property markets.

The extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic has presented new challenges for us all. At Livingroom we are working with two individual islands, each with their own guidelines and practical responses to the situation.

Guernsey is now in a state of ‘lockdown.’ Our office closed on Monday 23rd March and our staff were sent home with full IT support and the ability to work remotely. Given the nature of our business not being listed as an essential service, we have ceased any physical interaction with our customers and all viewings and valuations have been postponed until after the proposed period of curfew - although this date may well fluctuate. Each staff member can be contacted directly on their email and mobile number as listed on our TEAM PAGE. Our main phone line is still operational simply call 01481 715555.

Our Jersey office also closed on Monday 23rd March and our staff were sent home with full IT support and the ability to work remotely. Jersey (as of today) has announced further closure measures to ensure strict social distancing to limit the spread of coronavirus. Estate agents are NOT on the list of forced closure provided that 2m social distancing is adhered to. If people wish to continue with appointments, Livingroom will require full identification of travel history, health and notification of any interaction with any positive cases. The health of our staff is paramount and each request must be made and responded to on a case-by-case scenario. Each staff member can be contacted directly on their email and mobile number as listed on our TEAM PAGE. Our main phone line is still operational simply call 01534 717100.

We recognise that these are uncertain times and have taken steps to protect our staff and our business. We hope that everyone is following government advice and is keeping safe and well.
